Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Linjar has said that three militants including a woman involved in the attack on Chinese citizens near Karachi Airport have been arrested.
In a press conference in Karachi on Monday, the Provincial Interior Minister said that two Chinese citizens were killed in a suicide attack at Karachi Airport on October 6, after which the chassis and number plate of a vehicle were found at the scene. Assailant Shah Fahad was identified through fingerprints.
Zia Linjar said that the vehicle used in the attack was purchased from Karachi while the payment was made through a private bank in the Hub region of Balochistan.
He further said that the mastermind of the airport attack, Javed, and three accused, including a woman, were arrested.
The mastermind and the female facilitator were arrested from RCD highway, while the accused Javed alias Sami was the mastermind of the airport attack. The arrested woman was brought by the accused from Hub to Karachi and she was made to sit in the car so that no one suspects.
He added that the attacker’s facilitators Farhan and Muhammad Saeed were with the rickshaw driver, while Saeed Ali and the bank employee Bilal were also involved in the facilitation.

The provincial minister said that other suspects involved in the attack including Danish, Gul Rehman and Bashir Zaid have not been arrested yet.
Sindh Interior Minister said that the accused Javed had informed the attacker Javed over the phone about the exit of the Chinese from inside the air.
On the other hand, progress has been made in the investigation of the suicide blast near Karachi Airport and the vehicle used in the attack has been identified.
On the night of October 6, there was an explosion at the signal of Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, the echo of which was heard several kilometers away.
Initially, the local police called it an oil tanker explosion, but later it was ruled a suicide attack.
Two Chinese nationals were killed in this attack, while several Pakistanis, including a Chinese national and a woman, were injured.
