Kapsch takes over customer service for the Polish toll system

Kapsch TrafficCom announces that it has won the tender for the provision of direct customer service for the Polish e-TOLL.

The contract is worth PLN 62.87 million (as of October 16, 2023: around EUR 14 million) and has a term of three years from February 1, 2024. As part of the contract, Kapsch will provide customer service for the e-TOLL -Deploy system to 100 sales points throughout Poland. The sales points are open to drivers all year round and around the clock.

The scope of the contract includes services related to complete customer service, such as registering customer data, providing information, accepting payments, topping up user accounts and providing on-board devices.

In addition, IT hardware with software and telecommunications connection is provided and configured for each of the 100 distribution points. The scope of services also includes training the sales office staff and providing them with marketing material, the necessary consumables and on-board units.

e-TOLL sales points

The e-TOLL system went into operation on June 24, 2021 and is used to collect tolls for trucks and cars on a total of approximately 3,660 kilometers of Polish motorways, expressways and national roads.

The customer service points for the electronic toll system are mainly gas stations located along the toll road network at a maximum distance of 15 km from the entrance to the toll road section or at sensitive points of the Polish road network.
