Kaprizov repeated the 79-year-old NHL record in the Stanley Cup

The Minnesota Wild beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 in the second overtime in the first round of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs.

Kirill Kaprizov (20th minute), Sam Steele (35) and Ryan Hartman (93) scored among the winners. Roope Hinz (23) and Jason Robertson (25) scored for Dallas.

Kaprizov set club record for NHL seasons with 40 or more goals

This match was the longest (92 minutes 20 seconds) in the history of “Minnesota” in the playoffs.

For the Russian, the puck in the game with Dallas was the first in the Stanley Cup this season and the tenth in his career in the NHL playoffs. It took Kaprizov 14 matches to achieve this mark. The Minnesota forward became the first in nearly 79 years and the tenth player in NHL history (since 1943-44) to score ten goals in 14 or fewer playoff games.
