Kanye West creates a surprise by announcing a “listening” of his album at the Accor Arena on February 25

This “Vultures Listening Experience” should see the famous rapper participate in a listening to tracks from his latest album, Vultures 1, released last week.

The detour to the capital was not planned until now. Kanye West, aka “Ye”, announced this Saturday on his Instagram account that he was going to give several meetings in Europe in the coming days. After stops in Milan and Bologna on February 22 and 24, the 46-year-old rapper will perform at the Accor Arena in Paris on Sunday February 25. According to the venue’s websitetickets will be available for sale from Tuesday 10 a.m.

This “Vultures Listening Experience” will be an opportunity for the artist to organize a “listening” session, in his presence, of his latest album Vultures 1, recorded as a duo with rapper Ty Dollar $ign and released on 10 last February.

A title accused of plagiarism

The album, which benefited from an XXL promotional campaign thanks to a spot broadcast during the last Super Bowl, immediately became a commercial success on streaming platforms. But it also caused Kanye West some setbacks.

On Thursday, Vultures 1 was removed from Apple Music and iTunes for a few hours before reappearing with its 14th track removed. The reason: the song, Good (Don’t Die), is accused of plagiarizing a Donna Summer title by the singer’s rights holders. Good (Don’t Die) has also been removed from the Spotify platform.

Kanye West is obviously not at his first controversies. Its various anti-Semitic releases earned it a separation from Universal and Sony in 2022. The brands Balenciaga et Adidas had ended their collaboration with the rapper at the same time.
