Kozhikode ∙ A.P. Abubakar Musalyar of Kanthapuram wants to allow one more day off for Eidul Azha. Currently, the holiday has been declared on 28th of this month. But Eid-ul-Azha is on 29th. This day should be declared as a holiday. Kanthapuram said that he has sent a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requesting this.
He also said that the state government should immediately intervene in the shortage of higher secondary seats in Malabar. A permanent solution to the problem should be found. The Uniform Civil Code is unconstitutional. It destroys cultural diversity. Kanthapuram said that the single civil code is not an issue that affects only the Muslim community.
‘Paradigm of All Coexistence’
Kantapuram A.P. Abubakar Musalyar, General Secretary of Samasta Kerala Jamiatul Ulema said that the role of Samasta is very big in making Kerala an example for our country and the world. He was talking to mediapersons following hoisting the flag at Samasta Senate in Kozhikode on the occasion of the 98th Foundation Day of Samasta.
The whole new generation was taught that the attitude of severity, hatred and insensitivity is not suitable for a believer and should only treat fellow beings with tolerance. All vigilance was exercised in safeguarding the integrity of India, upholding constitutional values and preventing communal and sectarian activities. Kanthapuram said that this fact is well understood by the general public.
At present 10,435 madrasas are functioning in the country under Samasta. Institutions including Markus, which have attracted much attention within and outside the country, are the contribution of this scholarly organization. He said that great efforts are being made to uplift them by establishing schools and madrasas in the states of North India, which are backward for many reasons.
