Even if Quebecor has the means to operate an NHL franchise in Quebec in a modern arena, we know that the future of hockey at the other end of the 20 is not bright.
As long as Gary Bettman is in office, it is difficult to imagine a return of the Nordiques.

Other things to consider, aside from the market the Coyotes will be moving to (because their chances of staying in Arizona beyond 2024 are increasingly slim), are money and popularity.
Quebec, unfortunately, is not a very big market and that would not mean that new fans would join the big NHL family. After all, Quebec is a market where hockey is already popular. As for me, that shouldn’t prevent it from being popularized more.. but hey.

All that to say that the Quebec market will probably not be the home of the Coyotes. Will Houston be? If the answer is no, expansion will follow in the NHL.
After all, there is money to be made in Texas.
But we know that the name of Kansas City also comes up quite often. And this, even if we are talking regarding a small town in the United States where the money does not necessarily flow freely.
There are several teams in town that would not be in the paws of hockey… but as long as you choose a small town with Stateswhy not take a small one, but in Canada?
No realignment needed.

In KC, the only “big team” is football – and it is because the NFL is so rich that a small market doesn’t really exist among the clubs on the circuit.
The star of the club, Patrick Mahomes, would also like to see the Coyotes move to Kansas City.

It’s interesting since Mahomes was born in Texas (in the town of Tyler, just over three hours from Houston) and is obviously well acclimated to his life in Kansas City. He is notably a minority shareholder of the Royals, the ball club.
I wonder how much Gary Bettman likes the Kansas City bid, which doesn’t have the appeal of Vegas or even Seattle.
