“The LGUs should urge the public to prepare for possible alerts. step up to Alert Level 4 should the activity persist or worsen so dapat yung mindset natin hindi natin iisipin na we will, the Alert Level will be lowered down but we should prepare as if the alert level will go up,” said Bacolcol.
The Office of Civil defence is preparing for a worst-case scenario where the pyroclastic density current (PDC) could extend to 10 kilometers, potentially affecting nearly 139,000 individuals. This scenario would require additional evacuation centers and increased food assistance. Authorities are working to ensure the safety and well-being of those affected. The Department of Social Welfare and progress is prepared to accommodate all evacuees,while the Department of Health has delivered essential supplies,including medicines,N95 masks,and nutritional commodities to the affected communities.

In response to ashfall and potential dangers, the Department of Tourism has suspended tourism activities, including trekking, swimming, and farm site visits in vacation spots within the affected areas of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental.
