Actor Kang Ji-seop, who revealed that he was a member of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS) in the past, deleted his social media account.

On the 3rd, following the release of the Netflix documentary ‘I am God: People Betrayed by God’, an article that Kang Ji-seop was presumed to be a JMS member was posted in the online community.

According to netizens’ speculation, on March 16, 2012, Kang Ji-seop posted, “Today is the birthday of the teacher who is my life mentor,” and this day is known as the birthday of Jung Myeong-seok, the head of JMS. In addition, in an entertainment program Kang Ji-seop appeared in last December, Kang Ji-seop’s house was revealed, and at that time, the Jesus picture placed in Kang Ji-seop’s closet also raised suspicion that he was a JMS believer.

In response, Kang Ji-seop said, “I went to a place where I really wanted to pray with a pure heart during difficult times, and I thought it was a normal place. I left it because I felt a sense of alienation that was far from my original view of faith. I came out before I even realized that such an ugly thing had happened.” He said he is no longer a believer.

As the controversy continued, Kang Ji-seop posted a picture tearing up the Jesus picture and arranging it, and then deleted his SNS account.

Meanwhile, Kang Ji-seop debuted in 2005 with ‘My God’.
