Environmental issues will fade into the background: to ensure the transport security of the country, P6 engines will be simplified, deprive of urea injection and exhaust gas absorption systems, and transferred to a fuel system with a conventional high-pressure fuel pump. The environmental class of the resulting turbodiesel is not clear, but the authorities will probably turn a blind eye to this, because the alternative is even more old KamAZ-740 engine.

Daimler Truck turns a blind eye to the fact that KamAZ continues to assemble K5 cabins from available spare parts. It is unlikely that the German partner will hinder the development production in Kazakhstanwhich is free from sanctions. However, there is no official confirmation of the strategy yet – the general director of the auto giant, Sergey Kogogin, limited himself to stating that “KamAZ has a plan of action in this situation”:
