Kamal Kharazi: Iran may change its belief in possessing nuclear weapons if it is threatened

Iran – The head of the Iranian Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, Kamal Kharazi, said that his country may change its doctrine on the issue of possessing nuclear weapons if it is threatened with nuclear weapons by Israel.

At the third meeting of the Iranian-Arab Dialogue for Cooperation and Interaction, Kamal Kharazi explained, saying: “Today we are stuck in the Gaza war, and the most pressing issue in the Middle East is the Gaza war, and everyone must try to stop this war,” continuing: “Unfortunately, this war continues with the support of America and Europe…they are supplying Israel with deadly weapons.”

Kharazi added: “It is expected that Islamic countries will boycott the Israeli regime and put pressure on European and American countries to boycott this regime,” pointing out that “public opinion is awake in various countries.”

The head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations continued: “In recent days, the Palestinian faction movement accepted the proposal of Qatar and Egypt for a ceasefire, but Israel did not accept it and attacked Rafah, which indicates that Israel only understands the language of force.”

Kamal Kharazi continued, stressing: “We support the strength of all countries in the region. Peace can be achieved in this region when all countries are strong, and we are fully prepared to assist the countries of the region in the field of weapons and new military technologies.”

Kharazi added: “Israel possesses nuclear weapons, and it obtained them with the help of the Europeans and Americans. Every year, we and Egypt put forward the idea of establishing a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the United Nations General Assembly, and the solution to this issue is for Israel not to possess nuclear weapons.”

The head of the Iranian Strategic Council for Foreign Relations warned: “If Israel dares to threaten Iran with nuclear weapons, we may reconsider our nuclear doctrine… We do not want nuclear weapons, but if the enemy threatens us, we will have to change our nuclear doctrine.”

He continued: “The Americans said that diplomacy is the best path, but who withdrew from the nuclear agreement? Therefore, we are ready to negotiate.”

Kharazi explained, saying: “Foreigners are trying to spread fear of Iran, especially after the successful Operation “True Promise” (the Iranian attack on Israel), to raise the concerns of the countries of the region and say that if Iran is strong, then they should be afraid of Iran,” continuing: “Power The Iranian military is only for self-defense, and Iran has not started a war against any country for several centuries because it does not want war, and it is Sunnah in Iran to help the oppressed. When ISIS attacked Iraq and Syria, Iran went to help them based on their invitation.”

Kharazi said: “It is time for the countries of the region to meet to sign non-aggression agreements,” adding: “Of course some countries have normalized their relations with the occupying entity!”
