Few could have guessed what success story awaited when factory manager Gunnar Stensby presented smoked caviar at Abbas’ headquarters in the early 1950s. But even though he was met with doubt, the success quickly became a fact and today a tube of Kalle’s Kaviar gets a new home every three seconds, which means that we eat about ten million tubes of caviar a year.

Kalles Kaviar is now celebrating 70 years and in connection with the anniversary they are releasing a collection in collaboration with Designtorget, which should reflect the brand’s playful spirit and not least the packaging’s iconic design. As you know, Kalle’s Kaviar is characterized by the blue and yellow tube, decorated with the then 6-year-old Kalle, whose real name is Carl Ameln and is the son of the then Abba manager.

Swedish pattern and craft tradition meets contemporary trends!
