Senegalese defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has officially left Chelsea to join Saudi Arabia. He recently signed a three-year contract with Al Hilal. He also becomes the highest paid Senegalese player in history, with a salary of 16.3 billion CFA francs (25 million euros).

As announced several days ago, Kalidou Koulibaly is in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, and has officially been presented as a new player for Al-Hilal. According to the English press, the Senegalese has signed a three-season contract with Al Hilal and should receive an annual salary of 25 million euros, or 16.3 billion CFA francs. This makes the central defender the highest paid Senegalese footballer in history, surpassing Sadio Mané, who receives just over 20 million euros a year at Bayern Munich.

Edouard Mendy, his teammate in the Senegal national team, should also join him. He should sign him to Al Ahli. On the salary side, Mendy should receive around 10 million euros. This is very far from Kalidou Koulibaly’s 25 million euros, but 3 times more than what he received at Chelsea.
