A new case of meningitis, this time in Kalamata and in the city’s high school, with the student being hospitalized.
According to messinialive, the case of meningitis was confirmed today, Saturday (03/09/2024), with laboratory tests, and the Directorate of the School in Kalamata, the Director of Secondary Education as well as the Municipality were immediately notified.
Regarding the incident, the responsible Deputy Mayor for Education, Giorgos Favas informed the Kalamata Health Center and the health officer of the Peloponnese Region was also informed, who seemed reassuring, as it is an isolated case, which was treated at the Hospital with the prescribed treatment, is under monitoring and there is no cause for concern.
