Kakao Games’ Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (Uma Musume), which attracts 300,000 daily users and is shaking the domestic game market, is raising its daily sales record once more with the effect of an update a month following its release.
According to the game industry on the 25th, it was reported that Kakao Games’ Uma Musume: Pretty Derby earned more daily sales than the first day of its release as of the followingnoon of the day.
An industry official familiar with Kakao Games’ internal affairs said, “The specific figures were not disclosed, but I know that an unusual amount of sales occurred within a month of its release.” The industry believes that it has far surpassed the level of sales at the beginning of the domestic leading mobile MMORPG.
Uma Musume, released by Kakao Games in June, has been rapidly increasing its sales since July thanks to a quick update following its release. In particular, thanks to the recent Kitasan update, the amount of payment per person has increased significantly. Kitasan Black received attention as the most efficient support card item even before its launch in Korea. The performance was verified through the version that was first released in the Japanese market in February last year. This record-breaking success continues in Korea.
Kakao Games plans to start capturing users through this Kitasan update. On the other hand, Uma Musume, which started its official service in Korea on the 20th of last month, is maintaining the top position in the sales rankings, beating out big box office MMORPGs in Korea. It is a breeding simulation game that nurtures characters that have inherited the spirit and name of an existing racehorse, and competes to win and achieve each character’s dream.
