Kahitna Closes First Day of Gaia Music Festival with Vibrancy – 2024-08-05 07:29:12

THE music group Kahitna successfully closed the first day of the Gaia Music Festival at The Gaia Hotel, Bandung, Saturday (3/8) night. The group from Bandung, West Java was able to present an intimate concert with the audience.

Kahitna opened their concert with the song “Tentang Diriku”. They then invited the audience to sing along with the song “Cerita Cinta” which is indeed a mainstay in every show. With a mix of fusion, pop, and jazz music, the song made the audience sing along.

Kahitna’s two vocalists, Hedi Yunus and Mario Ginanjar, also did not hesitate to get off the stage and greet their fans while singing.

Kahitna then continued their performance by singing their hits such as Andai Dia Tahu, Jauh Dua Benua, Mantan Terindah, Soulmate. Kahitna closed their performance on that bright night by singing the song Cantik.

Another Kahitna frontman, Yovie Widianto, said that performing in his hometown was a memorable experience, plus the festival venue was in the open air. In addition, he also admitted that Kahitna cannot be separated from the city of Bandung. According to him, the Flower City is not only the birthplace of Kahitna, but also the birthplace of hits that made their name soar in the Indonesian music scene.

“Bandung is a city that we cannot forget. The song “Takkan Terganti” was made in Bandung and there are many more songs that were born from this city,” said Yovie.

Other performers on the first day include the Bandung Jazz Orchestra, Natasya Elvira & Kevin Yosua Big 6, Dua Empat, and Ivan Nestorman. The Gaia Music Festival will run until Sunday (4/8) featuring Mocca, Aditya Ong Trio, Dewa Budjana, and Elfa’s Singer. (M-1)
