What happened to Razman Kadyrov? What are his real health conditions? Novaya Gazeta Europe, the newspaper of Russian journalists in exile, dedicated a long article to the Chechen leader and loyalist of Vladimir Putin. The story was born around the rise of Major General Apti Alaudinov, another Chechen, who the Kremlin would have identified as Kadyrov’s successor. In January 2019, the latter was diagnosed with pancreatic necrosis, a difficult to treat disease with a high degree of mortality, and at the end of the same year rumors of poisoning spread.
Since then, Kadyrov has begun to undergo regular procedures, including surgeries, at least twice a year at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation. In the summer of 2020 Covid arrived and then he suffered from serious endocrine system problems. In the spring of 2022, Kadyrov’s health began to deteriorate rapidly: the shape of his abdomen took on all the characteristics of pancreatogenic ascites, he experienced terrible shortness of breath, began to speak with difficulty, walked slowly and dressed too much heavily due to the Chechen climate. But above all he began to disappear from public events, with only a few appearances that seemed aimed only at calming the waters, with the participation of Vladimir Putin himself.
Last September Kadyrov ended up in a coma in the intensive care unit: according to sources very close to him, and with the confirmation of the secret services, he was hospitalized for acute pulmonary failure, which developed following an overdose of the tranquilizer Dormikum , a powerful sedative commonly used to calm patients before surgery. And since then doctors have been talking regarding him as a “terminally ill patient”. And Russia, through the moves around Alaudinov, is already prepared for the changing of the guard in Chechnya.
