Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran MP said that there is suspicion in the incident where a youth died while in custody at the Thiruvallam police station. K Sudhakaran MP demanded that the police interpretation of chest pain was not credible and that a judicial inquiry should be held into the incident.
K Sudhakaran MP said:
According to police, he was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. This is not credible. The postmortem report needs to come out if the real facts are to come out. Therefore postmortem procedures should be performed in the presence of the Magistrate. As the case is pending before the Kerala Police, it is advisable to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident.
The detainee is subjected to a medical examination. In this case too, the deceased underwent a medical examination. Then I was not convinced that there were any disturbances. If so, why was he not transferred to the hospital instead of being kept in police custody? Also, why was he not taken to the medical college when he experienced chest pain in the morning? So many questions need to be answered. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang’s arrest in custody. Therefore, a detailed investigation is needed since Suresh Kumar was taken into police custody to find out the truth.
During Pinarayi’s rule, law and order in the state was completely disrupted. Even the people’s representatives have no security. A car parked in front of the house of Kovalam MLA M Vincent was smashed by a regular accused in a criminal case. Locals arrested him and handed him over to the police, but police said the accused was a mentally ill person. The drug mafia and criminal gangs are disbanding. The CPM and the Kerala government are protecting them. The Chief Minister has no time to pay any attention to this as he is back on party conventions. Kerala is experiencing the tragedy of politicizing the police.
