Korea will start the Qatar World Cup group stage with Uruguay and Group H on November 24th. Jo Yu-min and So-yeon (35), a singer from the girl group ‘T-ara’, had a happy thought that she might have to change the wedding date, which was scheduled for November.
This season, Jo Yu-min was selected 12 times in the K-League 2 Round Best 11 selected by the Korea Professional Football Federation and is the sole first place in this category. He is also tied for first place in the Federation’s official ratings among players who have played 13 or more games. This is the highest score for a defender whose main position is center back.

Jo Yu-min was selected as the national representative for four consecutive home evaluations in June of this year. He stayed on the bench the whole time, but it was a positive sign considering he didn’t make it to the Qatar World Cup qualifiers at all.
A match debut opportunity was soon given. Jo Yu-min participated in all three matches of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship in July 2022 and was able to confirm that he received a good evaluation from coach Paulo Bento (53, Portugal).
Following Suwon FC’s vice-captain from 2019 to 2021, he is recognized for his leadership as a center back enough to take on the captaincy in Daejeon. During his time at Suwon FC, he played a light fullback/wingback and a defensive midfielder, showing a certain level of understanding of the game and technical advantages required of a modern soccer defender.
