Activation of municipal committees.
Abolition of prefectural committees, activation of regional membership committees.
Replacement of the central committee with the 201-member national council of members – It will meet twice a year.
Replacement of political secretariat with the political council of members, with the participation of 21 members.
National assembly of members (regular congress) that will be called every 3 years.
The president of SYRIZA rejected the proposal of “87” members to hold two referendums in October on the changes to the statute and the creation of a large body in the field of the center-left.
However, only through a Statutory Congress can changes to the current statute be approved, and not through referendums, under Article 53.
With text – intervention, the “87” requested the holding of a referendum, in accordance with Articles 24 and 25 of the Statute, with the question:
“SYRIZA-PS to participate actively, undertaking specific initiatives, as a protagonist in the processes of restructuring the progressive space with the aim of – without disbanding the parties that will participate – the creation of a large body of the progressive world, which will claim victory in the next national elections elections from the ND?”
Stefanos Kasselakis emphasized that the party is suffering as a whole and needs, as he said, rationalization and renewal.

Nikos Pappas said, among other things: “If there is an opinion that constitutional changes should be made based on referendums, it should be submitted and go to the congress.”
Yannis Ragousis said: “Will the processes for the reconstruction of the progressive space be initiated? Yes or No in such a perspective only members and friends can say.”
“We will call the social and political forces for cooperation! Otherwise, the logic of uniting like-like with PASOK in order not to be lost, is a line that leads to disaster”, emphasized Pavlos Polakis.
“Without insecurities let’s give the floor to the members and friends of the party. Dozens of K.E. members are asking for it. of the party” noted Thanasis Theocharopoulos.
St. Kasselakis proposed that the statutory conference be held on the first weekend of October.
