Vice President of the State Parliament follows Christian Zoll in the YEPP

Vienna (OTS) At the 13th Congress of the Young European People’s Party in Portugal, the delegates elected Sophia Kircher, Vice-President of the State Parliament and Chairwoman of the JVP Tyrol, with 89 percent of the votes as Vice-President of the YEPP.

“I congratulate Sophia Kircher on her new role. I’m sure that, as the first woman to hold this position for Austria, she will passionately represent the interests of young people at European level. Many thanks also to Christian Zoll for his many years of commitment! “, says Federal Chairwoman State Secretary Claudia Plakolm.

“What makes the EU strong is much more the regions than the regulations. I experience that every day in the European region of Tyrol/South Tyrol/Trentino. We young people in particular have to shape the European Union of tomorrow, learn from each other on the important issues and come up with the best ideas from all regions onto the European stage,” says Kircher.

The Young European People’s Party (YEPP) is the youth organization of the European People’s Party and represents the interests of young people at European level with its more than 50 member organizations, which together have more than 1.4 million members.
