It was late at night when Juventus released the first photos of their new signing in central defense on social media. The reason: the plane with which Gleison Bremer arrived in Turin only started to land at midnight. The Brazilian will replace Mathijs de Ligt.
De Ligt officially joined Bayern Munich on Tuesday. The Dutchman costs the Germans up to 77 million euros. Substitute Bremer is also not a bargain, but it is significantly cheaper. Juventus are transferring €41m to city rivals Torino, where Bremer was the league’s best central defender (by statistics) last season in Serie A. In addition to Juventus, Inter also digged heavily at Bremer.
Juventus’ shopping spree should not be over yet. In the next few days, Italian record champion Nicolò wants to sign Zaniolo. The Roma talent, who is willing to change, can leave the club following the arrival of Paulo Dybala and will probably do so in the direction of Turin.
