Juventus will once more appeal to its shareholders. Italy’s most successful club announced this Friday its intention to ask for a capital increase which might reach 200 million euros. The fault lies in further losses – estimated at 124 million euros – during the 2022-2023 season, which ended last June.
Good news for the Turin team which has been controlled by the Agnelli family for a century: its parent company Exor should once once more support it.
Juventus has already raised 700 million euros in four years
Exor would not be on his first rescue mission. The investment arm of the Agnelli family had already covered two thirds of the Old Lady’s fundraising calls in recent years.
In total, the Bianconeri’s cumulative losses amount to more than 700 million euros in six years, while their last net profit dates back to the 2016-2017 financial year.
