Juventus Turin (4th) was jostled by Sampdoria but did not let slip a victory (3-1) which allows the Bianconeri to increase even more the pressure on the leading trio of Serie A, Saturday in Genoa on the 29th day.

Alvaro Morata almost did everything in this game. The Spanish international was the author of a precious double (34th from the penalty spot and 88th from the header) but also of an involuntary deviation which allowed the “Samp” to return to 2-1, on a free kick of Abdelhamid Sabiri (84th).

Jostled in the second half after having quietly managed in the first, Juve was generally not unhappy with a first goal offered by the defender of Sampdoria Maya Yoshida (23rd csc) and a penalty missed by the Genoese, Wojciech Szczesny repelling from a hand closes Antonio Candreva’s attempt (74th) after a hand in the box from Adrien Rabiot.

The Bianconeri, now undefeated for 15 matches, are provisionally 4 points behind the leader, AC Milan (which has one game less), 2 behind Inter Milan (2nd, two games less) and only one from Naples ( 3rd, one game less). The Rossoneri have the opportunity to catch some air in the evening by hosting Empoli (13th).

Sampdoria, for its part, concedes its third defeat in a row and remains mired in 16th place, with four points ahead of the first relegated (Venice, 18th).
