Juventus – Frosinone 3:2 (2:2). A set of points scored with a throw on the tape

After four matches in which they were unable to get all the points, Juventus is back on the winning track. The match once morest Frosinone, or at least its first half, can be briefly described – goal for goal. However, the three-point goal was scored in the last minute of the match, thanks to which the Bianconeri managed to slightly escape Milan, which was hot on their heels.

Juventus started shooting quite quickly in today’s match, because in the third minute the scoreboard showed one on the home side. Gatti started to build the action and sent the ball towards McKennie from half the field. The American received the ball and quickly played it into the opponent’s penalty area, where Vlahović beat the opponent’s goalkeeper with a shot on the ground. In the 14th minute, Frosinone responded. After sending a cross from outside the right side of the penalty area, Cheddir found his way to the goal with a header. The guests followed suit, as Brescianini scored in the 27th minute, making it 2-1 for Frosinone. A moment later, Adrien Rabiot unluckily collided with Bremer. As a result of this clash, the Frenchman suffered a dislocated toe in his left foot, which forced him to leave the field. In his place, coach Allegri introduced Alcaraz on the pitch. In the 32nd minute, McKennie and Vlahović repeated what they did at the beginning of the match. The American found himself in the penalty area, where he received a pass from Cambiaso and passed the ball to Vlahovic, who beat the rival goalkeeper for the second time, sending the ball just past Cerofolini’s right post. Nothing special happened until the end of the first half and the players of both teams went to the locker room with the score 2:2.

The second half had a different course than the first part of the game, in which we saw as many as four goals. In the 58th minute, Chiesa had an opportunity to increase the score, but the ball missed the opponents’ goal. Gatti also had a good opportunity to score a goal, but the Bianconeri defender also missed and the scoreboard still showed a draw. The 87th minute turned out to be unlucky for McKennie this time. The Bianconeri midfielder slid the ball away from Kaio Jorge. This action ended unfortunately because following landing on the pitch, the American did not get up. As it later turned out, he suffered an injury and dislocated his shoulder. The player was unable to finish the match, and Iling Junior took his place. At the same time, Milik also appeared on the pitch, replacing Gatti. Time passed inexorably quickly and it already seemed that the players of both teams would share the points. It was like this until the 95th minute, when the Juventus players took a corner kick. Iling Junior sent the ball into the penalty area, which was headed by Vlahović. It was not a successful shot and the ball was regarding to go beyond the goal line, but at that moment Rugani caught it, hit it from an acute angle and the ball ended up in Frosinone’s net, flying under the goalkeeper’s feet. The Bianconeri defender became the hero of the match and gave the team all the points with a throw on the tape.

Juventus remained in second place in the table, but is still a long way behind the leader Inter. We are happy with the three points obtained, but the ease with which the defenders gave up two goals for Frosinone today does not fill us with optimism. The injuries suffered by Rabiot and McKennie are also worrying. It is not certain whether the players will be ready for the next Sunday match, which the Bianconeri will play away from Napoli.
