Juventus again report results for the first half of the fiscal year

Italian Serie A football club Juventus said on Wednesday the board had decided to postpone approval of its results for the first half of the 2022-23 financial year.

Italy’s most successful team, which is currently under scrutiny by prosecutors over allegations of fake accounts, posted a loss of 239 million euros in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022, continuing to suffer from the effects of COVID-19.

Juventus have also postponed the publication of their half-year results to March 8.

Allegations of financial malfeasance and poor results led Juventus’ board, including former chairman Andrea Agnelli, to resign late last year and controlling shareholder Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli family, staged a reshuffle of the club’s senior management.

“The Board of Directors which met today has decided to postpone the approval of the consolidated half-year financial report as of December 31, 2022 to a meeting of the Board of Directors to be held between March 22 and 24, 2023” , Juventus said in a statement.

The club said last week the postponement was necessary to review documents filed by Turin prosecutors who are investigating accounting and statements made to financial markets over the past three years.
