Justin Trudeau’s son Xavier, forays into music with debut R&B single

Xavier Trudeau Steps into the Spotlight wiht Debut R&B Single

Xavier Trudeau, the 17-year-old son of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, has officially launched his music career with the release of his debut R&B single, “Til The Nights Done.”

“What you no about me, I ain’t like him,” young Trudeau sings, addressing expectations and the shadow of his father’s fame. “We could roll sum, we could light one.”

Music industry expert Eric Alper commented on xavier’s self-awareness in navigating the public eye: “It’s hard to escape the shadow of a famous parent or sibling, and he acknowledges that head-on in the lyric, ‘what you know about me, I ain’t like him’.That kind of self-awareness is key when stepping into the public eye.”

Drawing Inspiration and Charting His Own Path

the song, released across all major streaming platforms, draws inspiration from fellow Canadian artists Drake, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber. Xavier’s sister, Ella-Grace Trudeau, provides additional vocals, adding a familial touch to the track. A music video is set to release on Xavier’s YouTube channel later in the day.

“Til The Nights Done” was produced by Vishal “Duava” Daluwatte and Joey “Tekika” Boyer, co-founders of Ottawa-based Pathway Music Group. Notably, Xavier chose to release his music independently, a decision Alper views as a strong indicator of artistic spirit. “He absolutely should trade on the name; it’ll get him in the door … the curiosity factor will open some opportunities, but from there, it’s on him to prove himself as a compelling artist beyond the last name. And I think he’s got the vibe and chops to do it,” Alper said.

behind the Lyrics: A Love Letter in a Darker Tone

Daluwatte described the song’s essence, saying, “The song is writen like a love letter to somebody you know you have a connection with, reflecting a romance that can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster, knowing that despite good times or bad, the love always stays there.” The dark, moody tone of “Til The Nights Done” aligns with the current trends in R&B,echoing artists like don Toliver and Post Malone.

Xavier has more music planned for release in the coming months, with concerts and performances on the horizon. While “Til The Nights Done” alludes to marijuana use, Xavier is currently below the legal age in Canada to partake.

With his debut release, Xavier Trudeau is taking his first steps in the music industry, showcasing his own unique style and talent. The challenge now lies in translating the initial intrigue into sustained success through consistent releases and captivating performances.

Archyde: The song draws inspiration from fellow canadian artists like Drake and The Weeknd. How have these artists influenced your sound and your approach to music?

Xavier: stay true to yourself and your sound. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s popular or what you think people want to hear, but at the end of the day, your music should reflect you. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance. Ther are so many people in the industry who are willing to share their knowledge if you’re truly passionate and dedicated.

The music industry awaits Xavier Trudeau, and with his unique sound,sky-high ambitions, and incredible family support, the future looks radiant for this young R&B artist. Be sure to stream “Til The Nights Done” and follow Xavier’s journey as he takes the music world by storm.
