MMA ATHLETE Justin Gaethje was only able to return to fighting in the UFC in March 2025 due to a serious injury he suffered when he lost by knockout to Max Holloway at UFC 300.
“Justin Gaethje will fight in March (2025). Against whom, I don’t know,” said Justin Gaethje’s manager Ali Abdelaziz.
He explained that the former BMF champion still needed time to recover from the injury suffered against Max Holloway in April 2024, before booking his next fight.

In that fight, Gaethje suffered a badly broken nose in the first round when Holloway caught him with a spinning kick. The fight continued but the former featherweight champion could not survive Holloway’s attack which resulted in him losing by knockout in the fifth round.
Ali said Gaethje is trying to get back on track and he’s fighting no one when it’s time to return to the UFC.
“I think he will be ready in March to fight. Against whom? Justin Gaethje doesn’t choose an opponent,” he said.

Ali admits there are several names at the top of his list, but Gaethje has never shied away from anyone the UFC has offered him in the past and that likely won’t change.
Gaethje, he said, just needed a little time to recover after his last fight and he deserved it.
“(His next opponent) could be (Dan) Hooker. It could be Dustin Poirier. It could be (Renato) Moicano. Whoever it is, I don’t know, but I want to see Justin fight in March,” he said. (Ant/Z-6)
