On Friday, August 9, 2024, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, took over as Chairman of the High Council of Magistrates, leading to several notable changes in the Senegalese judicial system.
In one of the most significant appointments, former Dhaka High Court prosecutor Abdou Karim Diop was replaced as prosecutor by Ibrahima Ndoye. Mbake Fall has been appointed as the new Attorney General, replacing Ibrahima Bahom.
