Youtuber and podcaster Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known as Monark, had his Instagram and Twitter accounts blocked last Friday, the 13th, following a court decision. The content creator’s accounts are unavailable in Brazil and the “retained account” notice is displayed, a status that refers to suspensions by order of the authorities.
According to information, this blockade was triggered by posts made by the former member of the Flow Podcast on January 8, the date on which Praça dos Três Poderes, in Brasília, was attacked by coup plotters who vandalized the Palácio do Planalto, the National Congress and the headquarters of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
Aiub even took a stand defending “empathy” for the terrorists who attacked the capital defending the fall of the Democratic State of Law. “This state of ours is a nefarious and authoritarian dictatorship, they only steal from the people. Something must be done, but our political class has proven cowardly and conniving, so it’s normal for people to feel hopeless and rebel,” said Monark.
This is not the first time that Bruno has had his accounts restricted for allegedly scamming comments. In 2022, the content creator even defended the creation of a Nazi party during an interview on the Flow Podcast channel, of which he was a partner until the episode that resulted in Monark being fired and blocking his YouTube channels.
