Rajiniranth starrer ‘Jailor’ is making headway by breaking many records in theater collections. In the history of Tamil cinema, the film has collected more than 375 crores in 6 days. The collection in India has crossed Rs 200 crore. When the international collection is added, it comes close to Rs 400 crore. Sun Pictures, which has produced the film, has released the collection information through its Facebook page. The film also has a note of record maker superstar Rajinikanth. Many people came with comments below the post praising Rajinikanth’s acting.
Jailer is Rajinikanth’s lead film after ‘Annate’. Since its announcement, the film has received a huge response. Rajinikanth rocked Jailor without disappointing the audience. Rajinikanth plays a character in the film who comes as a normal person and later turns into a masa. Vinayak plays the villain in the film. Mohanlal and Siva Rajkumar came in guest roles also contributed to the success of the film. 2.1 crore people watched the movie in 3 days.
The first day collection both domestically and internationally was Rs 95.78 crore. But on the second day, 95 was reduced to 56 crores collection. But in the following days the collection was 68 and 82. An unofficial estimate is that around 90 crores was earned on Independence Day. Theater owners claim that Jailer has been screened in around 600 theaters in Kerala, which has been struggling for two months without a big hit.
