iam8bit, Annapurna Interactive, Skybound Games, BlueTwelve Studio and Just For Games have teamed up to bring the feline adventure game Stray benefits froma physical edition on Playstation 5, available from September 20, 2022.
The physical edition of Stray will include a bonus set of six cards representing the art of the game. Players will take on the role of a stray cat who must unravel an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity, through the neon-lit alleys and dark surroundings of its underworld. Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B12. With the help of this new companion, the duo must find a way out.
Presented in a beautiful Gatefold sleeve covered in an elegant matte slipcase with glossy accents, the soundtrack of the forthcoming game Stray will be pressed on two 180g audiophile quality black vinyls.
This 2LP release will be available in the first quarter of 2023.
For the game soundtrack, the composer Yann Van Der Cruyssen captured that central idea – seeing a desolate cyberpunk subway through the eyes of an unassuming feline – and translated it into a synthesized soundscape, filled with reverberating chords and driving drum beats, punctuated with unexpected moments and instrumental fantasy welcome.
The soundtrack is presented in an atmospheric album cover by Ferdinand Correa, embellished with aluminum foil. The vinyl packaging also includes a download card for a digital version of the album.
