Veteran Indian keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik reckons that KL Rahul’s poor form will spell trouble for India in the February-March Test series once morest Australia. If Ravindra Jadeja is fit, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel should compete for the third spinner spot, he added.

Rahul led India in the two-match Test series in Bangladesh. Although the visitors won by a 2-0 margin, Rahul had a forgettable series with the bat. The 30-year-old recorded scores of 22, 23, 10 and two. Earlier, the star had disappointed in the ODI series as well.

India’s next Test assignment is the four-match series once morest Australia. The hosts need a win to secure a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Sharing his views on the massive Test series, Karthik told Cricbuzz:

“There are two big questions when we play Australia. Should KL Rahul play as an opener? Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel who are you going to pick as the third spinner? These are difficult questions to answer, but they need to be answered.
