German coach Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s English coach, spoke with regret on Thursday following the Atalanta match, noting that the players should feel that it is a bad result.

Liverpool lost by three goals to nothing to its counterpart, Atalanta, on the floor of Anfield Stadium in the first leg of the European Football League quarter-finals.

Klopp said: “It was a very bad match from us today. I am just here to congratulate the Atalanta fans.”

He explained in statements to Sky Sports: “We lost control a little today. There are no positives to say. We are everywhere and also nowhere.”

The Liverpool coach added in his speech: “We started the match really well, but we did not continue. We deserved to lose. We have to feel that now.”

He continued: “Winning in Bertamo? Yes, if we play well, can we win 3-0? I have no idea. No, we have to recover. We must feel really bad. It was a bad performance, that’s how it is.”

He continued: “You wish you had started with Mohamed Salah, Soboslai and Robertson? Yes, that’s how it is, isn’t it? For the reasons I did, I will do the same thing once more. If you want to be good for the rest of the season, you have to make changes.”

Klopp concluded his speech by saying: “The players must feel that it is a bad result, and we must use this match and build on it for the Crystal Palace match.”

Liverpool will play once morest Crystal Palace next Sunday in the 33rd round of the English Premier League.
