“Jurgen Klopp has announced his decision to resign from the position of manager of Liverpool FC at the end of this season. He has informed the owners that he will leave the club in the summer,” said Liverpool’s official profile on the X platform.

A moment later, a recording appeared there with an emotional speech by the now legendary German coach, explaining his decision.

Klopp admitted that he was starting to lack the energy to do his job with the passion he had become accustomed to.

“I don’t have a problem now. Of course I knew I would have to make an announcement at some point, but I’m fine now. But I know I can’t keep doing this job.”

Klopp became Liverpool manager in October 2015. Four years later, he won the Champions League with the club. On June 25, 2020, 7 rounds before the end of the Premier League, the team led by Jurgen Klopp secured Liverpool’s first English Champion title in 30 years.
