삼성과 현대자동차그룹, 포스코 등 국내 대기업들이 하반기 채용에 본격적으로 들어가면서 취준생들의 발걸음이 분주해지고 있다. 특히 공채 준비 기간이 추석 연휴와 겹치면서 이를 이용한 스터디 모임 등 취업준비 열기가 더욱 뜨거워질 것으로 보인다.

 
8일 재계에 따르면 삼성그룹은 오는 14일까지 하반기 공채 전형을 진행한다. 삼성전자와 삼성디스플레이, 삼성전기, 삼성SDI, 삼성SDS, 삼성바이오로직스, 삼성물산, 삼성엔지니어링, 삼성생명, 삼성화재, 삼성증권, 삼성카드 등 20곳이다.  
 
하반기 공채는 9월 중 직무적합성검사(9월)을 시작으로 10월에 삼성직무적성검사(GSAT), 11월 면접 순으로 진행된다. GSAT의 경우 지난해, 올해 상반기와 마찬가지로 온라인으로 치러질 예정이다.
 
삼성은 국내 5대 그룹 가운데 유일하게 신입사원 공채 제도를 유지하고 있다. 특히 올해부터는 채용 규모를 20% 더 늘릴 계획이다.
 
이재용 삼성전자 부회장은 작년 영상 메시지를 통해 “기업인의 한사람으로서 더 많은 일자리를 만들지 못해, 무거운 책임감을 느낀다“며 “삼성은 세상에 없는 기술, 우리만이 잘할 수 있는 분야에 더 많이 투자하고, 더 좋은 일자리를 만들겠다”라고 강조했다.

Hybrid adoption combined with metaverse

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors also started hiring new employees in the second half of the year. Currently, both companies have abolished the open recruitment system and are hiring on a regular basis.

Hyundai Motor Company will be accepting new employee recruitment documents for various jobs such as R&D (research and development), production, strategic support, and design until the 14th. During the recruitment process of new employees, Hyundai Motor Company regularly holds Metaverse recruitment briefing sessions for each job role to strengthen communication with applicants.

A company official said, “We will continue to create an environment for more active communication and consideration of applicants in the hiring process.”

Since February 2019, Hyundai Motor has switched to a job-oriented ‘always open recruitment’ method in which each field department directly selects the necessary talent when hiring new employees. In July of this year, the company introduced ‘predictable full-time recruitment’ and announced that it would post recruitment notices for new college graduates by division (including general positions, some research positions, and transition-type interns) on the Hyundai Motors recruitment page every 1st of odd-numbered months.

Until the 18th of this month, Kia will offer 14 projects including production, purchasing, quality, manufacturing solution, management support, customer experience, customer safety, domestic business, overseas business, new business/planning, strategy/product, technology, special business, and finance. The department accepts documents for new employees with college graduates in the second half of the year. The final acceptance announcement is in December, and the company is expected to join the company in early 2023.

Kia will unify the starting point of recruitment starting in September in the second half of this year, starting with the recruitment of new college graduates, and recruiting them in batches by division. Also, in the first half of the year, a hybrid method with regular monthly recruitment, which was previously operated, will be introduced. Since the application and joining times are fixed, applicants can predict when they will be hired, so it is expected that application preparation will be easier.

The POSCO Group is also conducting the recruitment of new employees with college graduates in the second half of the year. The five POSCO affiliates, including POSCO, POSCO E&C, and POSCO E&C, are eligible for the application period until the 21st. Applicants are finally selected through a personality test (PAT), the first interview (job competency assessment), and the second interview (value suitability assessment). From this recruitment, the PAT has been switched to an online method.

In this recruitment, POSCO pursues the value of coexistence, such as those who have experience in volunteer work and the recipients of the Honorable Mention Award. It also plans to give preference to future-oriented talents who lead change and growth through flexible thinking and continuous learning, such as those with AI and big data capabilities.
