On behalf of the Prime Minister, head of government prevented, the Minister in charge of the Promotion of Youth, Sports and Civic Education M Aristide Briand Reboas took part this morning, Friday, August 19, 2022 in the hemicycle of the People’s House at the investiture ceremony of the new members of the Junior Parliament of the United Nations in the presence of the Third (3rd) Vice-President of the National Assembly, representing the Right Honorable, President of the said Institution. It is in these terms “I undertake on my honor to serve and defend my country and Africa, in accordance with the ideals and values of the United Nations, with the ideals and with the republican values. In witness whereof, I make this present oath. May God help me”. that these young children from 9 to 14 years old with a primary level, the Junior Ambassadors, Young people from 21 to 24 years old with a secondary level, the Junior, Teenagers and Young Deputies from 15 to 21 years old with a secondary level and the Junior Senators, Young people aged 25 to 36 with a University level all from the United Nations took the oath. In his word for the occasion, the representative of the Head of Government Mr. Aristide Briand Reboas said he was ready to support all initiatives emanating from this junior representation. # I am very touched to share this joy with you, which should have been the joy of the Prime Minister, Head of Government who was unable to attend and who mandated me to represent him here. Today, we celebrate a democracy, we celebrate the birth of a certain Youth which not only makes the pride of Africa as a whole but which will doubtless make the pride of the world by tomorrow. You can already count on your Government which has always spared no effort so that its Youth can be emancipated, we will be there, personally, I will be there to support you in all the initiatives that you will undertake #. I will faithfully report on my mission to whom it may concern what I have experienced here. he concluded.
