“I’ve Been In Love” features Compton rapper Channel Tres and captures the euphoric mood of jungle with an elegant mix of funk, disco, soul and hip-hop. The accompanying music video continues the story of the previous video singles “Dominoes” and “Candle Flame” (feat. Erik The Architect). It opens with a tongue-in-cheek intro and then moves into an ambitious single-shot choreography that Jungle and Contentus Maximus directors J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido are known for.

After arena shows as guests of Billie Eilish and the Gorillaz, Jungle’s forthcoming fourth studio album “Volcano” captivates with a rich warmth and innovative productions that sound both timeless and modern. Mostly written on tour and organically created between Los Angeles and London, you can hear more musician friends on it than on its predecessor “Loving In Stereo” (2021, #18 in Germany). As part of their upcoming North American and European tour, Jungle will play with a full live band in front of more than 190,000 people.

Jungle’s fourth prank: Volcano

Almost exactly two years to the day following “Loving in Stereo”, British disco soul duo Jungle are back with their new album “Volcano”. It builds on the success of its predecessor, which became one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year.

With “Volcano” Jungle prove to be one of the most exciting and innovative electronic dance music bands. Disco, soul and hip-hop elements once once more push the boundaries of their own sound. In doing so, Jungle create an uplifting and free-spirited album that underscores the duo’s status as one of the most important voices in contemporary music.

Jungle’s journey began in Tom McFarland’s bedroom in London’s Shepherd’s Bush, where he and childhood friend Joshua Lloyd-Watson began experimenting with producing music. With a passion for creating soulful, funky beats and an affinity for live instrumentation, the duo developed a unique sound that would set them apart from their contemporaries. Jungle’s music quickly gained traction. They were soon performing at some of the world’s most prestigious music festivals and venues.

Mercury Prize-nominated and Gold-certified debut Jungle (2014) and follow-up For Ever (2018) both made the UK Top 10. Loving in Stereo further increased Jungle’s success.

Thanks to the super hit “Keep Moving”, it reached number 3 in the UK charts, number 18 in Germany and at the same time shot up to number 1 in the US Billboard Dance Album Charts. All three albums combined have since racked up over 1 million equated album sales and generated over a billion streams. What followed were arena shows guesting with Billie Eilish and the Gorillaz.

Now, with the release of Volcano, Jungle embark on their next journey that is a testament to the power of passion, creativity and hard work. Thanks to their music, infectious grooves and an immersive sound, Jungle have become one of the most exciting and innovative live acts in the world.

Shortly following the album’s release, the band’s first highlight awaits with the headline show at All Points East on August 26th in London’s Victoria Park. The show will see Jungle supported by a select cast of international acts. One of the highlights of the British festival season can already be assumed.

This will be followed by an extensive tour of North America and Europe, during which Jungle will play with a full live band to over 190,000 people at some of their biggest venues to date and bring their electrifying live show to arenas around the world. With this year’s live shows, Jungle promise nothing less than a celebration of life, love and the power of music to bring people together. The duo’s live highlights to date include headlining performances at Wilderness and South Facing, huge shows at Coachella and Lollapalooza Brazil, and headlining shows at Alexandra Palace and the O2 Academy Brixton.

With “Volcano” Jungle expand their sound. The productions sound more innovative and future-oriented. From intricate and complex beats to soaring synths and soulful melodies, this record is a testament to Jungle’s prowess as a producer and their ability to create music that sounds both timeless and modern. Only a single sample was used during the production of the album, whose free-spirited energy is the result of a completely organic creation process.

Written largely on tour, the material was recorded at an Airbnb in Los Angeles and then completed at her favorite spot, Studio B at Metropolis Studios in London. Collaboration was a key feature of the album following the duo desired a greater variety of voices. Alongside Erick The Architect, Bas (who previously featured on Loving In Stereo’s single Romeo) was invited back for Pretty Little Thing. They have also been able to recruit legendary artists such as Roots Manuva, Channel Tres and JNR Williams.

The artwork on “Volcano” continues the elegant minimalism that has graced the covers of all three previous albums. Again, the core graphic design remains the same, only the color palette has changed to reflect the album’s sound – this time with a rich warmth that complements the production and summery vibes.

Aside from the music, the music videos and the wider visual universe of Jungle have always been an important part of their identity. Through the use of polished choreography and beautiful, engaging cinematography, Jungle’s iconic music videos have garnered hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. Jungle’s music videos for “Volcano” may be among their most ambitious yet – with a slight twist: the videos are meant to explore the universe Jungle have created to date, while showing that all is not as it seems. The videos promise a stunning visual feast that brings the world of Jungle to life in a whole new way.

Jungle’s music has been featured in video games, commercials and TV series – even in German “Tatort”. Most recently, the duo remixed songs for Taylor Swift and JVKE. “Volcano” takes you into a new dimension of sound, fed by contagious energy and catchy melodies. The album takes you on a journey that you won’t soon forget.
