Jun-seok Lee to start party reorganization next week in preparation for local elections in June

People’s Power Representative Lee Jun-seok will start organizing the party before he starts preparing for the June 1 local elections in earnest.

In a phone call with Newsis on the 12th, CEO Lee said, “We will present a proposal for the appointment of major watchers at the Supreme Council meeting next Monday (14th).”

Representative Lee appointed three-term lawmaker Han Ki-ho to replace Kwon Young-se, who resigned from the post of secretary-general immediately following the election. Assemblyman Han, the predecessor of former Secretary-General Kwon, is expected to oversee the nomination for local elections and the work of joining the People’s Party.

The possibility of the appointment of Ji Sang-wook as the head of the Yeouido Research Institute has been raised, but it has not been confirmed.

CEO Lee said, “First, we will put up the proposal for the appointment of the secretary general and the rest of the staff will be reviewed as soon as they are finished.
