And even if it is currently only a snapshot in the race for the “halftime victory”: many people are doing their best for Schmölzer. “My parents, girlfriend, relatives, everyone is taking part,” says the talented gymnast, who has her sights set on the European Championships, World Championships and the Universiade next year and then wants to show off her skills in other disciplines as well.
“Actually, I like the horizontal bar the best, but the jump was the best this year,” says Schmölzer, who began his gymnastics career at the ATV Vöcklabruck at the age of six. Upper Austria’s national coach Michal Zoha has great hopes for the future with him, but also Vincent Lindpointner, who won bronze in rings at the Junior European Championships this year, under his wing.

You can only vote on /sportlerwahl, a maximum of three times a day per device. The election runs until November 16th (midnight).
The ten best in each category then advance to the final, in which a jury of experts – consisting of representatives of the sports country, the umbrella and professional associations, the OÖN and previous winners – vote on the ranking.
The result of the fan vote is included in the final result. The winners will be honored on December 3rd in Linz.
