From “Music Without Borders” to the Wildcat Night Hike

St.Pölten (OTS) – The program of the Thayatal National Park next month starts on Saturday, July 1, with the musical-literary hike “Music without Borders”: From 4.30 p.m., it goes from the Thaya Bridge in Hardegg to the Einsiedlerwiese the newly built bridge over to the Czech side and upstream back to Hardegg. The string and wood quartet plays Austrian and Czech classics at the vantage points and on the river bank. On Sunday, July 2nd, from 2 p.m., there will be a family afternoon at the Thaya Bridge. During the four-hour program, Austrian and Czech guests can playfully learn a lot about the way of life of the animals living in the national park and especially the wildcat at various stations.

“Stories from Prague” will then be on the program on Saturday, July 8th, in the town hall of Retz, when Ernst Gelegs and Ferdinand Trauttmansdorff will talk about their experiences in the Czech capital from 7.30 p.m., share their insider knowledge and present humorous incidents. Two nature adventure weeks also start in July – the “Junior Ranger Camp” for children between the ages of 13 and 16 from Sunday 16 to Friday 21 July, and “Wild Holidays” for children between the ages of eight and twelve from Sunday , 23 to Friday 28 July.

Wild cats are also the focus of attention several times in July: on Saturday, July 22, starting at 9 p.m., you can follow the tracks of the animals accompanied by rangers on a wild cat night hike from the National Park House in Hardegg; The tour through the nocturnal forest concludes with a wild cat night feeding session. There are special editions for children on Saturdays 15 and 29 July from 8 p.m.
