July 21 National Holiday Parade: Grand Celebration in Brussels with Royal Family and Stunning Displays

The traditional procession set off at 4 p.m. from the rue de la Loi to reach the place des Palais. The royal family is obviously on board, as are several political figures, including Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder.

Princess Elisabeth and Prince Gabriel (for the first time this year) are present in the parade. The other two children of Queen Mathilde and King Philippe, Princess Eléonore and Prince Emmanuel, are in the gallery. Princess Delphine is also present, in a remarkable outfit, as well as Prince Laurent who attended the Te Deum in Louvain this morning.

The military and civilian parade brings together the land, air, navy and finally, medical component of the army. The Red Cross, Civil Protection, police, customs and firefighters also parade. A total of 1,345 men and women take part. The air component of the army will also offer an air show with twenty-seven aircraft, including ten F-16s.

2023 is special since King Philippe also celebrates these 10 years of reign this year.
