This week the first rumors have appeared that put Julius Randle’s future with the Knicks in question. The player’s season has fallen far short of expectations and has often been met with confrontational episodes with the Madison crowd and members of the coaching staff. It was only a matter of time before a future exit was leaked, and a few days ago Randle’s attitude during the Knicks’ victory once morest the Bulls set off alarms. Accused to a certain extent of his discontent and under the hypothesis of seeking to force a transfer, the player has renewed his commitment to the franchise. “I’m made for this.”
The player has three more years left on his contract with New York and, from what he says, his idea is to fulfill them. “It’s just not true,” he said of his alleged transfer request. Randle preferred to focus on the season to come, even though he says it’s important to finish this one off on the right foot. “Everything is a lesson. You learn from experiences like this and move on” assured regarding the frustration experienced in recent months on a personal and collective level.
There is still a little over a week to end the course. Only once immersed in the offseason we’ll be able to really sort out the future of Julius Randle, whose current market value makes it difficult for the Knicks to fit his contract.
