Filipino ACTRESS Julia Barretto did training or a short cooking course before filming the Viu Original regional drama series entitled Secret Ingredient, which she stars in with Nicholas Saputra and Lee Sang-heon.
“At first, I didn’t know how to cook,” said Julia, while attending the premiere of Secret Ingredient in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday (26/4) evening.
He added, “But, before we started filming, we had to do a short practice to understand the initial cooking process before making a meal.”
In this series, Julia plays Maya, who works as a kitchen crew at a luxury hotel in Jakarta.

Therefore, Julia did cooking practice before filming so that her acting matched the description of the story she wanted to convey.
During filming, Julia often came into contact with many foods, one of which was typical Indonesian food. He also revealed that fried rice is one of his favorite Indonesian foods.
“Fried rice! I always like rice-based food!” said the 27 year old girl.

Wanting to know more regarding Indonesian food, Julia asked Nicholas for recommendations on food to try. “Would you recommend (Indonesian) food made from chicken? I want to try it!”
After thinking for a moment, Nicholas answered, “You have to try the chicken satay on the side of the road.”
Hearing the recommendation for chicken satay, Julia promised to try it when she had free time. In fact, Nicholas once more recommended chicken curry for Julia to try while in Indonesia.
“Oh yes, the chicken curry at Nasi Padang (restaurant), that’s also a must try!” Nicholas said.
The latest Viu Original regional drama series entitled Secret Ingredient is ready to be broadcast in 16 countries on April 30 2024. The drama Secret Ingredient stars three actors and actresses from across countries, namely Nicholas Saputra (Indonesia), Julia Baretto (Philippines), and Lee Sang-heon (Korea South). (Ant/Z-1)
