Jules, Erica, Jane and Harry

There are four models in the eyeglass collection of the observer and mine. Here’s what you need to know about them:

Jules — A dominant frame that manages to be subtle and flattering like makeup. Of the frames that when I put them on I feel more “me” than without them. The glasses I wear every day are Jules in a toffee shade (Aliza wears them in the picture with the jeans shirt). The frame got its name from Mann Hathaway in the Nancy Meyers movie “The Intern” (all the models got their names borrowed from Meyers movies). Links: Jules Shemesh /// Jules Raya.

Jane — probably the most classic frame in our small collection. Reminds a bit of the glasses that Matt Damon wore in the movie The Talent of Mr. Ripley, but is named after Jane who plays Meryl Streep in the movie it’s complicated by Nancy Meyers. In each shade of frame, they get a completely different character.

Harry — the most surprising model so far. I thought it was a framework that would require courage, and meanwhile people fall in love with it easily (maybe there are more brave people than I thought). The frame got its name from the character Jack Nicholson plays in something’s gotta give. One more thing: note that the sunglasses in this model have the option of choosing between two lens colors in the black model (normal dark or blue lenses) and tortoise (normal or light pink lenses).

Erica — my favorite frame at the moment. In fact, it reminds us of the model we all put together in the nineties (and when I say “all of us” I mean me, Julia Roberts and Carolyn Best Kennedy). The frame got its name from Erica, the character played by Diane Keaton in the movie something’s gotta give.
