Jujuy: a couple of tourists was found dead in a hostel in Humahuaca | They were natives of Buenos Aires

A couple of tourists from Buenos Aires were found dead in a hostel in the city of Humahuacaprovince of Jujuy and the cause would have been inhalation of carbon monoxide.

According to local media, the owners of the place were charged with “culpable homicide aggravated by the number of victims”, but they were not arrested.

The victims were identified as Sofia Macarena Robledos27 years old and Jose Eduardo Rojas28, both from the province of Buenos Aires.

According to reports, they had arrived in Humahuaca on Tuesday, and stayed at the hostel, located on Calle 25 de Diciembre in the San José neighborhood, which they reserved through a travel application. That day they made some excursions and since Wednesday they had not been seen once more.

Since they did not respond to the repeated knocks on the door of their room, since they might be seen lying down, according to the owner of the place, the owners entered and that was when they found them lifeless in their beds. They were the ones who called the police.

Members of Section 15 of Humahuaca and Criminalistics personnel from the Public Ministry of the Accusation worked at the scene. According to The Tribune of Jujuy it is estimated that They had been dead for at least 48 hours.
