Colombian midfielder Juergen Elitim has said goodbye to Sports of La Corunafollowing being loaned by Watford in the 2021/22 season, in which he was the undisputed starter.
“All the glory will be little for what you deserve, Deportivo“, the South American player published on his social networks, whom the A Coruña team tried to keep in their squad in what will be his third season in a row outside of professional football, in the First Federation (third category in Spain).
In his farewell, the player was grateful “to each member of the club” for having made him “feel at home this year”. The Cartagena also thanked Coruña, his fans and considered “a pleasure to have coincided this year” in his career.
“I take the best of this huge club and beautiful city. Sorry for not having lived up to what the club deserves, for not having fulfilled the objective, giving greater joy and that the outcome was different. I’m leaving being one of you“, he pointed.
Juergen played 36 games with Deportivo, added more than 3,000 minutes on the pitch, scored a goal and was the top assister for the Galician team, which was on the verge of promotion to the Second Division.
For now, he will have to return to Watford to define his future: he will receive an opportunity taking advantage of the fact that his team will play in the English second division or will go out on loan once more.
