Swedish Marcus Nyman, 33, won a landslide against Olympic runner-up Eduard Trippel.

But in the round of 16, the Swede lost.

Nyman had the upper hand for much of the round of 16 (in the 90-kilogram class) against the German Trippel, and came close to deciding with a hold with seconds remaining. But the match went to a golden score where the Swede won.

However, it ended in the round of 16. Aram Grigorian of the United Arab Emirates won on an Ippon at the end of the match.

– Losing is a heavy loss, he says.

Thus, Nyman’s fourth Olympic participation is over.
