Judo. Margaux Pinot beaten in the 2nd round of the Tashkent Worlds

She dreamed of finding her tricolor rival Marie-Eve Gahié in the semi-finals of the – 70kg world championships, but Margaux Pinot , now licensed in Orléans, will not be there. In Tashkent, she did not come a long way beaten from the 2e turn by Lara Cvjetko (21 years old) following more than 8 minutes of combat and a waza-ari with the victorious golden score of the Croat that she had never met until then. Practically in tears coming out of the tatami mats, the Vésulienne recognized her opponent’s victory: “She was quite simply the strongest today. She was more on the defensive to better counter me. The story therefore ends quickly for Margaux Pinot, third at the 2019 Worlds, and who, as often, is struggling to get started in a competition.
