Judicial affairs: Cases of fights and domestic violence skyrocketed in 2021: Legal Medicine | Judicial

The balance of Legal Medicine indicates that during 2021, 231,802 medical-legal assessments were carried out throughout the country. 31,823 more cases than those reported in 2020.

Of that number, 135,587 people were assessed for personal injuries and the main reason was fights and domestic violence.

The number of cases of sexual violence also increased by 21%, during the past year 17,761 cases were registered.

Bogotá registered 35% of the total casesbecoming the city with the highest number of personal injury reports.
