After a long journey of nine hearings, in the followingnoon of this April 25, in room 4 of the Courts of Granada; the Criminal Trial District Judge, Marvia Arias, found Braxy Yahoska Gutiérrez Castillo (La Viuda Negra de Nandaime) guilty; for the death of Luis Guillermo Arguello Sánchez, changing the classification from homicide to murder.
During the hearing, both the technical defense and the Public Ministry; They presented their final arguments, in a battle that would last for hours, generating a climate of tension for the parties.
The technical defense of ‘The Black Widow of Nandaime’, directed by Attorney Marvin Meza Morales; he emphasized that none of the witnesses mentioned that Braxy had provided pesticide to Arguello, among other details, which he alleged were omitted. In addition, Meza wanted to dismiss the forensic opinion and raised a protest once morest the presence of the media, which was dismissed by the judge.
For its part, the Public Prosecutor’s Office maintained in its allegations the consistency of the evidence and testimonies presented during the process; requesting that the Black Widow of Nandaime be found guilty.
After a long recess, the judge ruled that in accordance with art. 140 of the Penal Code, Law 641, the guilt of Gutiérrez; changing the classification of the crime from homicide to murder.

Immediately followingwards, the Public Ministry requested the maximum sentence of 30 years, and the defense, the minimum. The judge’s ruling will be released in the coming days.
Braxy Yahoska Gutiérrez Castillo (The Black Widow of Nandaime), was charged with the death of Luis Guillermo Arguello Sánchez; which occurred on August 13, 2022, in Nandaime, as a consequence of the ingestion of various medications and pesticides that Gutiérrez, according to the process, gave him in soft drinks.
This sentence puts an end to a long road undertaken by the daughters of Arguello, seeking justice for the memory of their father.
